DLINQ Intern, Undergraduate

Major: Japanese Studies with a minor in Gender Studies

Expertise: Digital Art and Marketing, Social Media Management

Campus: Middlebury College, VT

Feels Local: Washington State

Kayla (she/her) is currently an undergraduate majoring in Japanese Studies with a minor in Gender Studies. Local to Washington State, she has spent time living in different areas all across the US. Her expertise lies in digital art and marketing, which she has used mainly to create promotional materials for the student organization she has participated in since freshman year. She first interacted with DLINQ after her mentor suggested learning more about digital literacy through DLINQ, and how digital literacy itself relates to library science. She has learned how to teach and communicate clearly, especially when dealing with technology that teachers and students aren’t comfortable with and hopes to continue developing those skills during her time at DLINQ.

Outside of DLINQ, Kayla likes watching K-dramas or anime, and playing video games.

Why DLINQ: A great place to learn not just about digital literacy, but to teach it to others as well.
