Please join us for our first Teaching Online and Hybrid Conversation Series event of Fall 2022!

Much of the hybrid learning that emerged on our campuses during the pandemic is what we’d call emergency hybrid learning: created quickly, sometimes on the fly, in response to ongoing uncertainty. We’ve experienced the challenges of connecting on ground and online students in meaningful ways, leading to the question, how can we move toward designing intentional, inclusive, and equitable hybrid teaching and learning? In this conversation, we’ll explore the mindsets and practices that support intentional hybrid learning design, and chat about what we need to make a move from emergency to intentional hybrid learning in our classrooms.

About the Teaching Online & Hybrid Conversation Series

DLINQ has convened the Teaching Online and Hybrid Conversation Series (TOHCS) since Fall 2018. The goal of the series is to help faculty explore and address both pedagogical and technical issues related to intentionally designing online and hybrid courses that reflect good practices in online learning, as well as Middlebury’s unique approaches to teaching and learning.

In the COVID era and beyond, we see the TOHCS as a place where faculty can come together in a learning community focused on continuing conversations and peer support around online teaching and learning.
