The Office of Digital Learning & Inquiry (DLINQ) invites you to swing by our first “DiscoTech.” Inspired by community-based events originally developed by the Detroit Digital Justice Coalition, a DiscoTech adopts the theme of “Discovering Technology” by bringing together technologists, organizers, and community members to demystify digital tools and practices in a fun, approachable, and accessible environment.

At our December DiscoTech, visitors will have opportunities to:

    • Learn about and explore technology resources at MIIS
    • Informally network with peers, interns, and staff from a variety of campus centers
    • Play games (Jeopardy, Lego creation station, VR, and more)
    • Test your awareness of data privacy topics and safety measures at our Cryptoparty station
    • Sign up for the 2022 Digital Detox
    • Win a cool door prize like a privacy webcam cover or a faraday bag for your mobile phone
    • Enjoy a light snack

No registration required. We hope to see you there!
