My time at DLINQ has truly been an incredible experience for me as both a student and a person. Throughout my internship, I had the opportunity to work with people from different aspects of the campus, whom I never would have interacted with otherwise. It was a real eye-opener for me, as I gained a deeper appreciation for the diverse perspectives and experiences that exist within our campus community.
What I appreciated most about my experience at DLINQ was how it allowed me to discover and develop new interests and skills. I found myself gravitating towards tasks and projects that challenged me, and I was always encouraged to take on new responsibilities and explore different areas of technology. This sense of empowerment and support allowed me to grow both professionally and personally, and I know that the experiences and skills I gained during my time at DLINQ will stay with me for the rest of my life.
One experience that stands out to me was when I had the opportunity to help a fellow student navigate Canva. As an international student, they had never used the platform before, and I was glad to offer my assistance. Rather than doing the work for them, I took the time to show them how to use the website so that they could navigate it more easily in the future. It was incredibly rewarding to see them pick up the skills quickly and even teach them some tips and tricks for finding exclusive Canva images. This experience reinforced for me the value of assisting others in a way that empowers them to learn and grow on their own.
Another aspect of my internship that I thoroughly enjoyed was the TechKitchens. These events provided a platform for interns to share their interests and passions with like-minded individuals. I loved having the opportunity to present a topic I was interested in and share my opinions with others who were also eager to learn more. It was also fascinating to hear about things like Artificial intelligence and digital privacy. I got to explore new technologies like virtual reality. I was very interested in Artificial intelligence , TechKitchens broadened my understanding of the field.
What really made my experience at DLINQ exceptional, however, were the connections I formed with my coworkers and boss. Whether we were discussing work-related topics or personal matters, I always felt comfortable being myself and expressing my thoughts and opinions. This sense of safety and trust allowed me to explore who I was as a person and connect with a group of people who shared my love of technology, and who questioned every aspect of it.
My internship at DLINQ was an experience that I will always cherish. It allowed me to grow both professionally and personally, and exposed me to a diverse range of perspectives and experiences. I am grateful for the connections I formed and the opportunities I had, and I know that the skills and knowledge I gained will serve me well in my future endeavors.
